Joseph DePalma
Associate Attorney
Joseph focuses his practice on alcohol licensing and regulatory compliance, advising clients ranging from start-up craft brewers and distilleries to national hospitality chains. His work includes navigating the complex landscape of federal, state, and local liquor laws, securing licenses and permits, and representing clients before regulatory agencies.
While in law school, Joseph served as a Rule 711 Student Attorney on the College's Veterans Legal Clinic, helping clients navigate difficult legal issues. He received CALI Awards which represent the highest grades in Business Associations, Employee Benefits, and International Human Rights Law. Before joining the Powell Junia team, Joseph worked in the legal departments of companies in the consumer goods and insurance industries. His in-house work included regulatory review, contract compliance, and risk mitigation—experience that informs his approach to advising clients operating in highly regulated spaces.
